Transfer from Territorial Force to Regular Force Chaplaincy

  1. The request for transfer is made by the TF Chaplain to the Military Ordinary or to the Ordinariate VG
    The members of the College of Consultors are asked for their opinion on the transfer. If not all are agreed, the Consultors, VG and Ordinary will meed to discuss the proposed transfer.
     
  2. Should the Chaplain be deemed suitable for RF Chaplaincy, his Bishop will be consulted by the Ordinary or VG as to his availability, length of tenure, location, etc Also discussed with his Bishop will be the matter of maintaining contact with the diocese, and attendance at Diocesan Clergy Assembly and Priests retreat.
     
  3. When those preliminary matters are satisfactorily concluded the Ordinary or VG will inform the Principal Defense Chaplain that the Military Ordinariate has a TF Chaplain seeking transfer to Regular Force Chaplaincy.
     
  4. The Principal Chaplain of the Service in which the Candidate seeks appointment is also to be informed by the Ordinary or VG
     
  5. The Chaplain will then be interviewed by the Chaplains Defence Advisory Committee (ChDAC) and, if accepted the NZ Defence Force Recruitment process will be undertaken.
